Chorlton Book Festival

Friday 17 - Saturday 25 September 2021

Hello Everyone,

2021 marks our seventeenth birthday! We’ve welcomed thousands of readers and writers, authors and poets, walkers and historians, literary quizzers, tiny tots and everyone in-between over the years. One thing that’s remained constant is our very Chorlton flavour. We love to celebrate our corner of Manchester, along with the wider city and region.

We don’t know what lies ahead between now and festival time, so if we do face further restrictions on social gatherings, we’ll move as many events online as we can. Keep an eye on our website and follow us on social media to make sure you don’t miss a thing.

We hosted a packed online festival in 2020 and welcomed some record audiences, which just goes to show how much we love our books and reading here in Chorlton. Thanks to the library team, our volunteer committee, our partners, our writers, performers and storytellers and – most of all – the people of Chorlton and beyond who’ve supported us through the years.

It’s great to be back.
